Job Context:
∎ Reports to: Program Manager
∎ Contract duration: Up to November 2023 , full-time position (with possibility of contract extension)
∎ AGRAJATTRA is Women headed non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental voluntary, L/NNGO based in Cox`s bazar, Bangladesh. AGRAJATTRA`S vision is a fair society where peace, social justice, good governance and gender equity will remain. Our main areas of work include Child protection, prevention of violence against women and girls, women`s empowerment, life-skills education, and humanitarian response & DRR in emergency situations as well as Rohingya crisis (Food security & livelihoods, Shelter development, WASH, Health and hygiene, Protection, Education, Energy and Environment) etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Take the lead in conducting community vulnerability assessments aimed at identifying gaps within the target groups for effective activity planning.
∎ Coordination with community leaders, local authorities, and other agencies to client identification and selection using a defined set of criteria.
∎ Undertake the planning, implementing, managing, and following up of vocational skill and employment, micro-entrepreneurship development, business and life skills trainings etc. As per the DIP and ensure quality and standards are considered and respected during implementation.
∎ Provide training to front-line staff on topics such as youth development pathways, business and life skills, entrepreneurial development, business counseling, and related topics.
∎ Develop comprehensive work plans (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to ensure the efficient implementation of project activities outlined in the detailed implementation plan.
∎ Conduct labor market assessments to identify emerging business opportunities, gaps in youth skills, and available resources, subsequently exploring potential opportunities.
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to target clients for effective implementation of skill development and employment pathways.
∎ Support the maintenance of the quality of livelihood programs, including youth skill development, employment pathways, entrepreneurship, enterprise development, financial inclusion/savings, and related activities.
∎ Ensure that interventions enhance youth skills, confidence, and readiness for employment through peer mentoring sessions, intensive programs, and personalized services.
∎ Strategically plan and execute vocational/technical pathways that qualify youth for both technician roles and apprenticeships.
∎ Foster and reinforce partnerships with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, employers, enterprises, SMEs, and relevant offices to facilitate swift outcomes for trained youth in the labor market.
∎ Link the youth with financial service providers and ensure their financial inclusion and access working capital to start and own a business.
∎ Facilitate connections between youth and financial service providers, ensuring financial inclusion and access to working capital for initiating and owning businesses.
∎ Regularly monitor, follow up, and provide technical assistance to youth skill development, employment, and related project activities, upholding the quality of implementation.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Skill Development / livelihood Field/Team Work & Group Work
∎ Ability to exercise discretion and consistently apply professional judgement; maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all time.
∎ Demonstrated excellence in oral and written English.
∎ Ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence.
∎ Excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle a variety of assignments sometimes under pressure of deadlines.
∎ Computer skills demonstrating competency of Microsoft office: Excel, Word and Power point.
∎ Ability to work independently and to exercise independent judgment.
∎ Be willing to take on extra responsibilities in order to achieve the goals/objectives set by the organization.

Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)
