Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Civil Engineering
∎ Minimum three years preferable in NGOs or Donner Agencies in similar position
∎ Knowledge on MS Excel, MS Word (both Bangla & English), Auto Cad etc., is essential.
Job Context:
∎ Due to COVID-19 related intermittent lockdowns, movement restrictions and lack of job opportunities in the locality, the Sundarbans mangroves, the largest nature reserve in Bangladesh become exposed to risks of over exploitation and degradation. Considering the beneficial effects of COVID-19 support last year (2020), GIZ has planned to extend the support to Sundarbans dependent communities and BFD in 2021 to reduce adverse effects of the so called "second waves" of COVID-19 infections which is increasing at alarming rate and the country now experiencing national wide lockdowns and other restrictions. The overall objective of this grant is to support forest dependent communities (WASH support, eco-cottage development, mangrove planting in riverside land, community drinking water facilities, etc.) in mitigating the negative impacts of COVID-19 to ensure protection of the Sundarbans Reserved Forest.

∎ Project Duration: 03 Months
∎ Job Location: Mongla, Bagerhat District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparation of technical and financial estimates, BoQ and designs of assessed/assigned COVID-19 interventions.
∎ Ensure the Covid-19 interventions are implemented on time.
∎ Regular updating of project progress to Project Coordinator, CNRS management and GIZ.
∎ Provide technical guidance to construction supervisors/FOs/labors as and when required.

∎ Should be fluent in communication both in writing and speaking in English language
∎ Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team.
∎ Should have "can do' attitude and able to handle multiple tasks managing priorities.

∎ Ability to work with accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Willing to travel extensively to any place of Bangladesh
