Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Assistant will support the project team in community engagement, assessment and registration of beneficiaries, distributions, training and technical supervision of the shelter upgrades and site improvements. The Shelter Project Assistant will support the project team to accomplish our objectives as described in the project log frame and support monitoring and reporting based on organizational and donor guidelines. The Shelter Project Assistant will be expected to comply with both World Concern and Medair organizational policies and procedures as well as government and donor requirements.
∎ Implement and supervise the teams on the field for the assigned activities: community engagement, assessment of the beneficiaries, registration, training, distribution, technical inspection, and any other activity which is part of the project.
∎ Get trained and organize focus group discussions with the community, following guidelines from Medair
∎ Get trained and organize training of the community about transitional shelter upgrades, following guidelines from Medair and the Shelter sector
∎ Advise, support and monitor the work of the volunteers assigned.
∎ Supervise the follow-up of the work in the field. Insure that the paper-work is up-to-date and accurate. Organize verification visits.
∎ Coordinate and support with the registration, training, distribution, and construction teams if necessary.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1-year work experience working
∎ Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
∎ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of tablets
∎ Previous experience working with an international NGO
∎ Previous experience working with the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals
∎ Previous experience carrying out trainings and/or focus group discussions with refugees
∎ Previous work experience in construction or construction supervision
∎ Problem solving capabilities, organizing and communication skills
∎ Understand, articulate and support World Concern and Medair vision, mission, core identity and values
∎ Ability to speak in the local Chittagonian dialect
∎ Ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.

Salary: Negotiable
