Job Responsibilities:
∎ OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES :
∎ The Senior Technical Advisor, MNCH is responsible for the technical direction, oversight, and management of an integrated, person-centered MNCH program, which aims to improve the quality and use of services and information among young women pregnant for the first time and their partners (first-time parents).
∎ SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Under the leadership of the Project Director, provide technical direction, oversight, and management for overall strategy for implementing a person-centered, integrated MNCH program in an urban municipality in Bangladesh.
∎ In collaboration with other team members, provide training, mentoring and supervision and capacity-building support for health service providers and MOH staff at the facility and community levels to manage and implement successful maternal and child health programs.
∎ Collaborate in the development of training curricula and strategies.
∎ Coordinate with partners (human-centered design firm and implementing partner) in co-design of activities and in oversight of project implementation.
∎ In coordination with the MERL Advisor, oversee the design, development, and implementation of monitoring and evaluation strategies and systems to effectively capture and communicate project results.
∎ Lead the development, implementation, and documentation of effective quality improvement tools and approaches for MNCH services and maintain an inventory of successful strategies and approaches.
∎ Provide technical assistance and participate in program planning.
∎ Document and share lessons learned through partner and stakeholder meetings, project reports, publications and presentations at all levels.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in developing country health systems with a focus on maternal newborn, and child health.
∎ Medical or nursing degree is highly desirable, but not required.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of MNCH policy and programs in Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated experience working effectively with program staff, implementing partners, civil society organizations, community leaders and local and national government authorities to implement high impact MNCH/FP services.
∎ Previous experience in implementing high-impact interventions for maternal and newborn health.
∎ Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
∎ Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Availability to live in Dhaka and travel regularly to surrounding communities.
