Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager/Pillar Head and overall supervision of the Emergency Coordinator (EC) in Cox's Bazar and in coordination with the relevant unit the incumbent will assist the concern programme unit for implementation of the programme.
∎ 1. Assist in coordinating and monitoring work of field staff, volunteers and daily workers in implementing quality control of bamboo and other materials for Shelter/NFI activities in line with the program strategy, guidelines and humanitarian standards.
∎ 2. Coordinate with Supply Chain and Shelter/NFI sub-units to track supply and demand of all Shelter/NFI materials, including bamboo and metal/precast footings, to ensure sufficient availability at all times for all programmes.
∎ 3. Provide regular and detailed updates of the bamboo programme progress, including stock, and delivery reports. Ensure adequate information sharing internally and externally.
∎ 4. Liaise with the procurement and supply chain unit, monitor bamboo delivery, and follow up as necessary to ensure quality and quantity of items delivered.
∎ 5. Provide capacity building of IOM staff/volunteers in terms of supply management and quality control.
∎ 6. Monitor the performance of vendors and provide regular feedback to the Programme Manager and Supply chain unit to improve the supply and quality of materials in IOM Shelter/NFI intervention.
∎ 7. Undertake field monitoring visits and liaise with counterparts as per programme requirements.
∎ 8. Ensure maintenance of relevant documentation, including volunteer and labour attendance sheets.
∎ 9. Identify, collect and document the best practices and disseminate at appropriate levels.
∎ 10. Produce weekly progress reports, provide accurate data analysis and related updates, and share with project manager without delay.
∎ 11. Perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
