Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate must have a Master degree and should desirably have a PhD degree from a reputed university in Statistics/ Economics/ Development Studies/ Public Policy or other relevant disciplines. Publications in peer-reviewed journals or chapters in books or monographs brought out by a reputed publishing house will be an advantage. In case of exceptional professional achievements, including excellent publication record, the PhD requirement may be relaxed.

∎ The DataSense team at iSocial is recruiting a Senior Research Fellow interested in pursuing an intellectually challenging and impactful career in academic and/or action research. The position demands academic rigor, commitment, charisma, and creativity.
∎ About iSocial
∎ Launched in 2016, Infolady Social Enterprise Limited (iSocial) is a for-profit social enterprise with the core idea of bringing last-mile connectivity to the bottom of the pyramid (BoP) population, as well as empowering Bangladeshi men and women to become entrepreneurs, challenging traditional gender roles.
∎ DataSense is the business intelligence, research, and advocacy unit at iSocial, providing various modes of research and management consultation. With an additional interest in promoting BoP growth, this unit conducts systems research; policy analysis; data collection, curation, and processing; analytics for operations management; and empirical intelligence generation to simplify executive and policy decision-making.
∎ About DataSense Team
∎ DataSense is the strategic business unit at iSocial for research, data intelligence and management consultancy, which offers services to corporate, non-profit, government and development agencies in Bangladesh and abroad. The DataSense team is a combination of professionals from various disciplines, educated and trained in Bangladesh and abroad. The research team works out of Bangladesh, UK and the USA.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time, Sunday through Thursday

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Have managerial experience of delivering large research programs.
∎ Demonstrate capacity to undertake research independently and supervise research of team members.
∎ Play a critical role in business development and developing research proposals to be submitted independently or jointly with other organizations to various RFPs and funding entities.
∎ Be comfortable engaging with and developing relationships/partnerships with private sector entities.
∎ Ideate original academic and action research ideas to create high impact in multiple domains including health, digital financial services, and public policy.
∎ Participate in local and global research events to promote DataSense initiative, facilitate partnerships, and disseminate research output.
∎ Networking with government agencies, universities, researchers and other stakeholders.
∎ Generate and deploy disruptive innovations in research, consultancy, and advocacy.
∎ Monitor the quality of the funded research projects to ensure timely and industry-leading output.
∎ Develop the capacity and skills of team members.
∎ Support the development of DataSense's research quality management system.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years at least in managing research interns, research associates, and the like to deliver research output in multiple domains.
