The Opportunity
This is a critical role within the Start Bangladesh team, working with the Resource Mobilisation Team in the UK, supporting the income generation strategy for Start Fund Bangladesh (SFB). This role will be lead of report writing for donors of Start Bangladesh programmes and supporting the Start Network Programme Funding Manager (Bangladesh and Nepal) and Start Bangladesh Country Manager in their ability to meet the contractual needs of donors in country and globally (for Bangladesh) and help grow the funding for Start Bangladesh. Experience in donor management, reporting and technical proposal writing will therefore be crucial.
Start Fund Bangladesh is a nationally led contingency fund, modelled on the Start Network’s flagship programme, The START Fund. Start Network has diversified their funding across several institutional donors and sources of private funding such as the Share Trust; and we now require additional capacity to report, write proposals and provide an excellent donor experience to these existing key donors. Beyond this, we expect this role to support the manager in developing new business with in-country donors. All this will be the core focus of this role.
Also, with regards to new business, the postholder will support the Programme Funding Manager to research and identify new prospects to diversify funding and manage everyday activities related to raising funds. This will include support to prospect donor mapping, writing proposals, pitching to donors, and planning and delivery of key events.
Start Network programmes in Bangladesh is currently going through a growth period, therefore aspires someone who is agile, proactive and a problem solver. The role requires someone who is team worker, able to understand the needs of the functions, create their own plan and perform independently to deliver on agreed actions and objectives.
