Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Based in Cox`s Bazar
∎ Initially the contract for 1 year with possibility of extension

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop research protocol for all the proposed research and assessments including determining sample size and techniques, develop and contextualize data collection tools, develop data analysis plan, conduct data analysis and writing report.
∎ Develop concept note for proposed researches ensuring that all the steps described in the RM&E Strategy Document are incorporated;
∎ Share research concepts with Project Manager, incorporate feedback from Country Office and obtain approval for the proposed research topics;
∎ Develop detailed implementation plan and guideline for all the approved researches including research specific training materials;
∎ Develop research specific Master Trainer training package (training materials and guideline) for Master Trainer training;
∎ Organize and facilitate Master Trainer training on proposed research and assessments;
∎ Prepare training reports;
∎ Coordinate with implementing agencies of the project to ensure smooth implementation of data collection;
∎ Lead data quality assurance team for each research and ensure quality data collection by the data collection team;
∎ Prepare data analysis plan and ensure appropriate data analysis by Data Analyst;
∎ Prepare and share draft research report with CO staffs and finalize it through incorporating feedback;
∎ Assist Project Manager in preparing monthly/quarterly reports;
∎ Support any other monitoring and research activities decided by Project Manager or Country RM&E team.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of five years of related professional experience, including three years of conducting/guiding research.
∎ Experience and/or technical competence in several or all the following areas:
∎ Education, with a focus on reading instruction
∎ Student reading assessments (EGRA, EGMA, ASER, etc.)
∎ Research, monitoring, and evaluation
∎ Management of research and evaluations
∎ Management of consultants
∎ Working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
∎ Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including experience using software packages such as SPSS/STATA
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
