Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate /Post Graduate.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise and coordinate of reporters from international affairs and managing daily coverage.
∎ Build a roster of freelance contributors from around the country.
∎ Edit and occasionally translate copy from contributors.
∎ Creating a network of sources and regularly pitching stories with both local and global interest.
∎ Allocate print space for story text, photos, and illustrations according to space parameters and copy significance, using knowledge of layout principles.
∎ Gather information about events through research, interviews, experience, or attendance at political, news, sports, and artistic, social, or other functions.
∎ Supervise and coordinate work of other team members.
∎ Generate story text, plan visuals and according to duration allowed using knowledge of layout principles.
∎ Review written audio or video copy and correct errors in content, grammar, or punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines.
∎ Receives selects, shortens, summarizes, elaborates, translates edits news items of all descriptions and may do some or all of these functions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 3 to 5 year(s) experience in related task.
∎ Age not more than 35 years.
∎ Excellent communication skills both writing and oral.
∎ Must be self motivated, dynamic, energetic, and work under pressure.
∎ Skill on video editing, camera operation and news presentation will be given preference.
∎ Having good moral/human character.
Salary: Negotiable
