Education:
∎ At least Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university, major in Economics/Statistics/Social Science/Social Studies/Development Studies or any other relevant field.

∎ Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla - with an ability to make presentations in-depth knowledge of MEL methodologies, tools, and best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
∎ Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
∎ Strong proficiency in digital data management systems (DDMS), including data entry, management, and analysis tools (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, SPSS, Stata, or others).
∎ Capable of management activities including project planning, implementation and report writing.
∎ Excellent data analyses skills, producing tables/graphs with interpretation and the ability to make verbal presentations.
∎ Familiarity with donor-funded programs
∎ Excellent proficiency of spoken and written English and Bangla.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide support to the development and implementation of the M&E framework, monitoring plans to track effectively all the project activities, outcomes, and results. This includes supporting the development of indicators (quantitative and qualitative), as well as processes and tools to measure them.
∎ Contribute to the creation of MEL plans, including the definition of indicators, targets, and data collection methods, in collaboration with program teams.
∎ Primarily responsible for regular updating of the project progress in the MEL platform.
∎ Oversee the implementation of data collection activities, ensuring data integrity and consistency across different programs.
∎ Provide technical support in the collection and management of both qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, and case studies).
∎ Support field teams with data entry into the digital data management system and ensure accurate, timely updates.
∎ Conduct periodic data quality assessments to ensure data reliability and validity.
∎ Prepare data analysis reports and share key findings with stakeholders to inform project implementation and improvements.
∎ Enhance and optimize the use of the digital data management system, ensuring that all collected data is entered correctly and updated in real time.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the digital system, collaborating with technical support teams as needed.
∎ Assist in preparing high-quality MEL reports, including data analysis, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders, including donors, senior management, and partners.
∎ Maintain thorough documentation of MEL processes, methodologies, tools, and data for internal use and future reference.
∎ Role Summary:
∎ The Senior MEL Officer will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities for multiple projects/programs in Bangladesh, under the supervision of the Head of Impact Management within the Global Impact Team. This includes assisting in the development of MEL tools and methodologies, managing data collection and analysis, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and providing technical support to field teams on data entry in the digital data management system (Salesforce). The role also includes conducting data quality assessments and enhancing the use of the digital data management system for efficient data tracking and reporting.
