Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Manager - Procurement & SC is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and management of all program and general, including the emergency related procurement, particularly for the Cox's Bazar operations.
∎ S/he is responsible for developing and maintaining effective and efficient procurement policies and procedures, consistent with SCI standard operating procedures (SOPs), international standards, national laws, and donor rules. Responsibilities under his/her direction include ensure compliance, review the respective budget, purchase requisitions and procurement; customs clearing; the transporting of goods from starting to end points; warehousing; stock management and inventory; and the completion of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
∎ S/he will manage a large team both in country office, as well as in the field offices, including Cox's Bazar and take initiatives for their capacity building as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain, including transportation, distribution, customs clearing, warehouse management, and stock management of which 3 years in management position.
∎ Experience in procurement management in emergency response highly desirable.
∎ Experience in the distribution of both food and non-food items.
∎ Experience in building and developing the capacity of Procurement staff through training, performance management, and development plans.
∎ Sound knowledge on procurement of international standards and compliance.
∎ Excellent English language communication skills (both oral and written).
∎ Expertise using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and internet applications.
∎ Ability to work in high stress situations such as emergency response
