Responsibilities & Context:

About the company

Sahajmobile is a fast-growing fintech and digital financial services company focused on expanding financial inclusion across Bangladesh through technology-driven solutions. The company works across digital payments, agent banking, merchant services, and financial access solutions for underserved communities. Sahajmobile combines innovation, operational excellence, and technology to build impactful financial products and services nationwide.

Role Overview

This is a strategic finance role, not a bookkeeping one. We're looking for someone who lives in loan-level data, understands how a lending book behaves over time, and can turn that understanding into decisions — on underwriting, pricing, capital deployment, and growth.

You'll own the analytics and financial logic behind the portfolio: building default curves, forecasting losses, modeling unit economics, setting budget and revenue assumptions, and giving management the numbers they need to make the call. You'll work closely with the CEO, operations, and credit teams, and you'll be a key voice in lender and investor reporting. You'll work alongside the accounts and audit team on controls and statutory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & credit analytics

  • Build and maintain default curves, vintage/cohort analyses, roll rates, and loss forecasts across the loan book

  • Track and explain delinquency, charge-off, recovery, and MOIC trends — and pin down what's driving them

  • Translate portfolio behavior into recommendations on underwriting cutoffs, exposure limits, and collections strategy

Underwriting & risk policy

  • Partner with credit and operations to design and refine underwriting policy, scorecards, and origination caps

  • Run scenario and sensitivity analysis on policy changes before they go live

  • Monitor performance against policy and recommend tightening or loosening as the data warrants

Planning, budgeting & revenue modeling

  • Own the financial model: revenue assumptions, cost structure, capital deployment schedules, and cash flow

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning

  • Build feasibility models for new products, channels, partnerships, and markets

Capital & stakeholder reporting

  • Prepare portfolio and financial reporting for lenders, investors, and the board

  • Support fundraising and debt facility management with data rooms, covenant tracking, and projections

  • Help size and structure capital needs against the origination pipeline

Decision support

  • Be the analytical partner to the CEO and leadership on pricing, growth, and capital allocation

  • Turn messy operational data into clean, decision-ready analysis

  • Build the dashboards and reporting cadence that keep the business honest about performance

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years in finance, with real time spent in strategic finance, FP&A, credit risk, portfolio analytics, or investment/structured finance — ideally in lending, fintech, banking, MFS, or an NBFI

  • Strong command of loan portfolio mechanics: vintages, default curves, roll rates, loss forecasting, and unit economics

  • Excellent financial modeling — you can build a clean, flexible model from a blank sheet, not just maintain one

  • Fluency in Excel; comfort with SQL or working directly with large loan datasets is a strong plus

  • Sharp analytical judgment and the ability to turn analysis into a recommendation, not just a report

  • A clear communicator who can put numbers in front of a CEO, a lender, and an ops team and be understood by all three

  • High ownership, comfortable with ambiguity, and fast-moving

Additional Information

Education: MBA or MCom in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent. CA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or FRM is a plus — but strong analytical and modeling ability matters more than credentials. Requirements may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Why This Role

  • Real ownership over the financial engine of a scaling lender — your models shape underwriting, pricing, and capital decisions

  • Direct line to the CEO and founding team

  • Competitive salary, two festival bonuses, and other applicable benefits

  • A technology-driven, fast-moving environment where finance is a core driver of the business, not a back office

Job Other Benifits:
  • Lunch Facilities: Full Subsidize
  • Festival Bonus: 2
