Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Manager - Awards Management will be responsible for delivering an efficient award management function and ensure compliance requirements are fulfilled for all Cox's area office awards. S/he will provide on-the-job support to staff on awards management process that supports Save the Children quality standards and KPIs.
∎ The individual will play a strong coordination role, maintain regular communication with local donor representatives and Save the Children member offices. S/he will provide supervision and evaluation of his/her departmental staff. S/he will provide support and information to the proposal development process. S/he will be responsible for the review and ensure quality of donor reports and critical analysis of the portfolio, cost extension, no-cost extension, timely award close-outs etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years' experience in which 3 years at a management level, within the Awards/Grants function of a national or international organization including experience with awards management in emergencies
∎ Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a demanding workload comprised of diverse and challenging tasks and responsibilities
∎ Knowledge of the requirements of major institutional donors including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting; experience of engaging with donor's representative.
∎ Well-developed skills in staff management. Proven coaching and capacity building skills
∎ Understanding of the financial aspects of award management, and understanding of operations and programming
∎ Very strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to analyse trends
∎ Computer literate (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, financial systems)
∎ Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
∎ Patient, adaptable, able to improvise, and communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
∎ Strong communication (written and spoken) in English, and strong interpersonal skills, with experience in managing multicultural teams
