Job Responsibilities:
∎ Planning
∎ Develop and implement security plans and procedures to ensure the safety.
∎ Plan and execute effective emergency / evacuation procedures and guidelines.
∎ Maintain safety contingency plans.
∎ Manage and operate all facility Life Safety systems.
∎ Monitoring & Supervision
∎ Supervise and check all facilities of contracted security service; ensure procedures meet standards and are persistent.
∎ Monitor and manage the various security monitoring (CCTV) and Life Safety systems.
∎ Maintain a program of surveillance around the perimeter of the Factory. Organize and maintain all safety equipment and fire prevention facilities.
∎ Be up to date on the current situation of the country and deal with any emergencies.
∎ Legal Compliance
∎ Meet legal regulations and requirements in terms of safety & security.
∎ Audit & Report
∎ Conduct audit of contracted security service providers and all safety facilities and equipment periodically.
∎ Review, update and suggest necessary changes to the factory infrastructure, procedures, drills and policies to improve security.
∎ Initiate and conduct all investigations involving incidents/accidents related to missing items, trespassing etc.
∎ Prepare and maintain all reports and records on missing item etc.
∎ Routine Investigations and General Duties
∎ Investigations involving staff/students.
∎ Background investigations on the local staff.
∎ Police liaison for facility security, field trips, investigations, vehicle accidents involving staff and students, protest activity especially during hartals.
∎ Tactical leader for the Guards for normal duty, special events at the school, etc.
∎ Emergency preparedness coordinator (making sure you have plans, supplies, training, drills (earthquake, flooding, bomb threat, civil unrest, armed intruders, CBRNE, etc.)
∎ Periodic security briefings for staff.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ 5/6 years' experience in investigations, risk assessment, physical security, guard force management, human resources, law or in administrative functions.
∎ First-hand knowledge of criminal and administrative procedures within the BDG legal and judicial system is required. Must have existing and certifiable contacts within BDG network.
∎ Management of the emergency preparedness and general safety functions.
∎ Managing fire drills, lockdown procedures and general security functions.
∎ Fluency in English & Bengali, knowledge about the local and international standards on safety and security, good understanding of the local legal system, strong organizational & negotiation skills.
∎ Must be computer literate and show basic proficiency in Word and Excel.
