Additional Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in safety and security management at a similar level

• Shift starts from 6pm till 6am.

Essential

• Any Chartered Security Professional`s Qualification will be an added advantage but not mandatory for those who applied from a non-military background.

• Must be able to work night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.

• Fluency in English and the national language of Bangla.

Desirable

• Experience in school risk management.

• Experience working in schools or with young people and children.

Responsibilities & Context:

Department: Admin

Reporting Line: Security and Transportation Manager

Purpose:

The Safety and Security Officer manages the guard force, control room functions, and oversees the implementation of security procedures & guidelines, and assists the safety and security manager (SSM) in implementing the safety and security functions and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist the SSM on staff briefing and ensure procedures are followed.

• Report any security issues, challenges, and concerns to the SSM.

• Deliver safety and security training to security guards and drivers.

• Provide weekly security briefings to the outsourced security guards, supervisor, and in-charge.

• Assist SSM in conducting the risk assessment for all the operational areas, academy trips, onsite events, and school/premises vulnerability assessments.

• Reports all suspicious activities, including surveillance efforts around schools and offices, and fire hazards to the SSM.

• Supervise and manage the control room security guards.

• Inspection and monitor the fire hazards, and conduct fire inspections regularly.

• Responsible for the deployment and performance of outsourced security personnel. Ensure the smooth functioning of security operations such as ID administration, log review, and monitoring.

• Ensure the safety and security policies, procedures, and practices in the academy and also at the project site.

• Assist the SSM in conducting regular drills.

• Coordinate and assist with the implementation of office security operations and activities to ensure the protection of employees, students, and physical assets
