∎ Experience in statistical programming languages, such as STATA or R
∎ Candidates having experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) will be given preference

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conducting literature reviews, analyze data, and derive scientific conclusions;
∎ Assist in preparing scientific manuscript for peer-reviewed journals;
∎ Conduct basic statistical analysis for abstracts and manuscripts;
∎ Monitor field data collection, and provide regular updates to the supervisor to meet study objectives;
∎ Regularly summarize and interpret collected data throughout the study;
∎ Plan, coordinate and manage field activities based on study requirements;
∎ Supervise GPS data collection, manage GIS datasets and conduct spatial analysis using ArcMap or QGIS;
∎ Collaborate with the supervisor and team to develop high-quality research reports and presentations for scientific forums;
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure quality implementation and contribution to the project and the organization.
∎ The Research Officer will report to the Senior Research Investigator and will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

∎ Contract Type and Duration: Short-Term Contractual Service Agreement; duration will be 8 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
