∎ Brac University is a top ranked private university in Bangladesh according to QS Asian University Rankings. The Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) at Brac University is searching for a suitable candidate for the position of Research Associate.
∎ Nature of Employment: Contractual (Initial contract for three months. Contract may be renewed based on performance)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collect, generate and manage spatial data at project, regional and global scales.
∎ Conduct spatial analyses and produce maps to meet reporting requirements.
∎ Execute the workflow of remote sensing analysis (data acquisition, re-projection, geometric correction, radiometric correction, classification, and map production).
∎ Execute land-use change modeling and carbon accounting.
∎ Visit project sites for mapping and to collect ground data
∎ Manage maintenance and support of IT infrastructure.
∎ Contribute to creation and review of carbon feasibility studies, Project Documents and monitoring reports
∎ Contribute to the development of proposals and budgets in response to grant and RFP opportunities,
∎ including background research and creation of content

Additional Requirements:
∎ 2-3 years of experience in GIS applications related work
∎ Good understanding of remote sensing methods and techniques
∎ Knowledge and experience with the spatial datasets developed and cataloged for Indonesia at local, regional, national, and international desired
∎ The candidate should have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
∎ Knowledge on teaching-methodically will be an added advantage
∎ Experienced candidate will be given preference
