Background:

The Pro CHT Project (Helen Keller International / FIVDB / 3 IP) is conducting a comprehensive WASH rapid survey in 26 upazilas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. The qualitative component comprises 26 FGD sessions and 26 KII sessions covering two thematic areas: (a) Sanitation — community practices, climate-resilient latrine design, gender/dignity, and seasonal vulnerabilities; and (b) Water Options — source types, management committees, technology preferences, and sustainability. FGDs engage mixed-gender community groups; KIIs target local leaders, UNOs, DPHE officials, and NGO technical staff. FIVDB now seeks a qualified consultant to code, analyze, and report on this qualitative dataset.

Scope of Work:

• Review and organize all FGD/KII transcripts (bilingual: English & Bangla); flag gaps or quality issues.

• Develop a thematic codebook and analytical framework aligned with the FGD/KII instruments.

• Code all transcripts in NVivo or Atlas.ti; run thematic queries across geography, respondent type, and gender.

• Write a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative report generated from baseline survey of Helen keller International and rapid assessment of WASH covering sanitation, water options, gender, climate resilience, and institutional perspectives; include conclusions and actionable recommendations.

• Produce a minimum of 5 case studies / success stories capturing community voices.

• Prepare an executive summary and a PowerPoint deck for stakeholder dissemination.

Deliverables:

• Inception note: analytical framework, codebook outline & work plan - Day 1 after contract signing

• Coded transcripts (26 FGDs + 26 KIIs) in NVivo / Atlas.ti with codebook - Day 2 after transcript receipt

• Full qualitative analysis report (20–25 pp): findings on sanitation, water options, gender & climate resilience - Day 3-5 after transcript receipt

• Min. 5 case studies / success stories from community FGDs - Submitted with report

• Executive summary (2–3 pp) + PowerPoint (max 15 slides) - Within 1 day of report approval
