Responsibilities & Context:
Operate all types of pumps including Fire Pumps, Booster Pumps, Sewerage Pumps, WASA Pumps, Deep Tube Well pumps, and Drinking Water Plant systems.
Maintain daily log sheets and ensure accurate report keeping for all pumping activities.
Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of all equipment, including panel boards, pumps, and related systems.
Carry out regeneration of the water softener plant, and perform alum dosing and backwashing for the iron removal plant.
Maintain a register of tools and materials, ensuring availability and proper storage of all necessary equipment.
Monitor pump performance, promptly identify operational issues, and take corrective actions or report to supervisors.
Assist in preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and operational efficiency.
