Proficiency in conducting individual and group counseling sessions.
Familiarity with psychosocial issues such as stress, adjustment disorders, and social integration challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English.
Proficiency in MS Office and the use of Internet.
Experience of using initiative and creativity to resolve problems, identifying suitable solutions and opportunities for improvement.
Methodical approach to work and high level of attention to detail.
Flexible approach to work and positive response to changing requirements
Responsibilities & Context:
Counselor has to provide individual and group counseling to students, faculty, and staff on social, personal, and emotional issues.
Counselor has to arrange, conduct and prepare workshop and seminar on various psychosocial issues
Counselor has to undertake all kinds of required and relevant preparation for strengthening professional competency in extending the mental health services to the students, staff and faculty of Eastern University
The counselor needs to make and submit reports of counseling activities (weekly/semester wise) to the authority. Should ensure that records are kept in a secure location and that only authorized persons have access to records
Counselor has to maintain the professional ethics while providing counseling services to the clients
