Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Clinical Care:
∎ Willing to work in COVID19 Isolation Unit & Emergency Department
∎ Take history, perform examination and provide counselling services to patients
∎ Provide direct counselling, working closely with clinical staff, midwives and non-clinical staff and with the other health facilities, to ensure the delivery of high quality comprehensive mental health support to COVID19 patients & caregivers
∎ Ensure referral of patients with mental health conditions to specialized centers
∎ Provide mental health support to the teams and clinicians.
∎ Seek expert opinion through consultants per isolation facility policy
∎ Ensure all patient consultations and treatments are appropriately recorded
∎ Oversee the provision of quality care within the ensuring counselling and treatments are in line with relevant clinical protocols, guidelines and standard methodologies
∎ Provide health and hygiene promotion to patients and caregivers
∎ Ensure appropriate infection prevention and control measures are in place at the Emergency Department/ Isolation Unit and monitor staff adherence
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner
∎ Staff Supervision & Development:
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
∎ Provide medical support and mentorship to other clinical staff, providing on-the-job training where needed
∎ Directly supervise the following staff Medical Assistants, Midwives, Nurses
∎ community health workers
∎ Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies
∎ Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed
∎ Maintaining facility registers and other data collection tools, ensuring accurate and timely recording of information
∎ Daily collection, compilation and reporting of data
∎ Submit daily reports in a timely manner
∎ Compile weekly and monthly reports on services provided

∎ Other Duties:
∎ Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security
∎ Any other tasks as assigned by the Medical Team Lead

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 26 to 30 years
∎ Good command over English, Chittagongian & Bangla desirable
∎ Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
∎ Exposure to working with local partners and providing/attending training in NGOs
∎ Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
∎ Experience working in a multicultural, low-resource setting
∎ Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.

Salary: Negotiable
