Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary Responsibilities
∎ Provide comprehensive mental health and psychosocial support and counseling to patients. Improve the beneficiaries' mental health wellbeing and psychosocial conditions.
∎ Provide psychosocial support and counseling both at individual and group level as the situation demands.
∎ Assess the beneficiaries' psychological condition by using tools to detect the vulnerable cases and ensure follow up.
∎ Actively participate in weekly supervision meetings.
∎ Maintain privacy of the beneficiary and caretaker by keeping the documents and information confidential as well as maintain a key locked locker where the information will be safe.
∎ Supporting health post medical team by providing guidance and capacity building for the implementation of qualitative psychosocial care and mental health activities
∎ Build capacity of community volunteers (CVs) in identification of beneficiaries needing psychological counseling and ensuring individual or group support for identified individuals.
∎ Develop a referral pathway and identify cases which need to be referred to tertiary care for higher level management.
∎ Monitoring the activities of Community Volunteers through regular follow-up.
∎ Other Responsibilities
∎ Participate in conducting training for medical and non-medical staff on Mental Health related topics.
∎ Regular capacity building of Community Volunteers in Mental Health related topics.
∎ Producing timely progress reports, including both quantitative and qualitative information on MHPSS activities and clinical case studies
∎ Submitting timely MHPSS data to the M & E Officer.
∎ Submit requisition to medical logistic officer in procurement of the needed activities items.
∎ Maintain good relations externally and internally.
∎ Maintain coordination with other organisations for tertiary referrals.
∎ Be flexible in performing his/her duties to ensure that beneficiaries are getting quality services.
∎ Support staff at health post by psychosocial support if needed.
∎ Any other task assigned by the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 46 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ ESSENTIAL SKILLS
∎ Has training on MHPSS (Mental Health And Psychosocial Service) - Mandatory
∎ At least 2 years' experience in similar position with National or International NGOs
∎ Working experience in health posts or PHCC, including previous experience of supervising and mentoring other health staff.
∎ Ability to work within a tight timeframe.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills.
∎ Good command over English, Chittagongian & Bangla desirable
∎ Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
∎ Exposure to working with local partners and providing/attending training in NGOs
∎ Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
∎ Experience working in a multicultural, low-resource setting
∎ Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
