Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in School Psychology or Similar educational field; a Ph.D or Psy.D is a plus
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Listening to students' concerns regarding social, academic, or personal circumstances.
∎ Providing students with support and guidance on how to deal with problems.
∎ Mediating and improving relationships between students, parents, and teachers.
∎ Counseling individuals and groups as required.
∎ Conducting assessments to determine students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, and aptitudes.
∎ Working with students to develop and improve their skill set.
∎ Assisting students in the development of career goals.
∎ Design mental-health intervention and prevention programs
∎ Implement counseling and educational methods (e.g. breathing or mental imagery techniques)
∎ Collaborate with educational staff to create coordinated plans
∎ Evaluate and report on student progress (e.g. using psychometric tests)
∎ Resolve classroom or school crisis
∎ Evaluating and counseling high-risk students
∎ Counsel students and parents while pointing them toward further resources when needed
∎ Screen students for potential psychological issues and make recommendations for treatment plans based on this screening
∎ Work with at-risk youth who need educational intervention to help them achieve success
∎ Counsel and train employees and staff members
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 5+ years of experience as a school counselor or child psychologist.
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Working knowledge of counseling models, methods, and resources.
∎ Ability to identify and respond to students' needs.
∎ Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
∎ Must be patient and compassionate.
∎ High level of integrity
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply.
∎ Candidates must work for all the campuses of OIS.
∎ Knowledge of various methods to prevent or treat mental-health problems and other difficulties
∎ Organizational, scheduling and planning skills to manage complex schedule, and the schedule of many kids
∎ The ability to balance administrative and support services
∎ Understanding and commitment to following all related laws and standards
