Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.

∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox`s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

∎ The details of the position including job responsibilities, educational qualification and other qualities /competency required for the above positions are given below for your information:
∎ Job Location : Caritas Bangladesh Upazila Office, Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Job Nature : Temporary

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Works closely with CBFO and GBV case workers to provide safe, confidential and integrated GBV case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable
∎ Lead and facilitate day-to-day structured and unstructured PSS activities (with considerations to age, gender, disability and diversity) for beneficiaries in the host community and refugee camps.
∎ Ensure that, Survivor Centered Approach Guiding principles are maintained and enforced in, while working with survivors, including in safe space for survivors during the case management sessions/meetings and activities.
∎ Work under the supervision of the MHPSS Specialist, Project coordinator and Manager (Protection) in the roll-out of structured PSS sessions across BFC community centers.
∎ Prepare all materials and equipment for structured PSS sessions in advance; maintain daily attendance registers and monthly inventory sheets for each activity/session conducted.
∎ Monitor participants/beneficiaries' progress during sessions and refer individuals showing signs of psychological/emotional distress to CBFO and GBV caseworkers and/or appropriate service providers;
∎ Work closely with BFC field team in updating and disseminating multi-sectoral referral pathways to community members and volunteers;
∎ Conduct gender-sensitive focus group discussions and other participatory activities to engage community members in protection activities and to better understand their psychosocial needs and interests.
∎ Train community volunteers in psychological first aid (PFA), GBV core concepts, rights-based approach and protection principles;
∎ Participate in meetings and trainings conducted by Caritas Bangladesh and other relevant sectors.
∎ Prepare timely reports, maintain database and other relevant documentation as required by Project Coordinator- BFC , MHPSS Specialist and Manager (Protection).
∎ Ensure supervision, coordination, and coaching for GBV caseworkers working with survivors of GBV and those at risk-beneficiaries at the camp level.
∎ Ensure all GBV case management-related tools/formats are utilized, information collected rightly, keep documentation in the right way and action taken to ensure the quality of service by the caseworker and balance the coordination with caseworker and data Clarke for GBV case management information according to the guideline of GBVIMS.
∎ Provide support to GBV caseworker to deal with the critical case and coordinate with other service providers to ensure the best interest service that seeks by survivors.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 2 years work experience in PSS/GBV/CP in emergency.
∎ Proven track record in facilitating structured and unstructured PSS activities for vulnerable groups, including children, adolescents, women and girls, elderly.
∎ Previous experience in conducting trainings for volunteers and community members is highly desirable
∎ Demonstrates compassion, empathy and respect towards beneficiaries, staff and volunteers
∎ Strong understanding of the Rohingya emergency response and host community needs
∎ Ability to work with minimal guidance and as part of a team
∎ Proven experience in providing services to vulnerable individuals and families (including survivors of GBV and other protection-related concerns)
∎ Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback to improve program quality
∎ Demonstrating the ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for survivors all times is essential.
∎ Age : Maximum 40 years (as on 31.1.2022)

Salary: Tk. 41000 (Monthly)
