Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non government organization working in coastal area of Bangladesh since 2000 with a view to establish rights of poor and excluded people. The organization is implementing "Strengthening Excluded People`s Access to Services (SEPAS)" project funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) at 6 unions of Amtali Upazila and Amtali Pourashava under Barguna district.The project duration is January 2019 to December 2021. In this current project NSS is seeking a Project Officer to implement the project activities. The PO is responsible for daily oversight of the project activities including close monitoring and coordination with Project Coordinator and NSS Management.
∎ Job Location: Amtali Upazila of Barguna district.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct trainings, orientations, meetings and discussions;
∎ Prepare Training Module, schedule and conduct training as per plan and budget;
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with concerned representatives and other duty bearers and different stakeholders;
∎ Conduct capacity building trainings to Union Parishad on UP Operational manual 2009;
∎ Facilitate to conduct Wardshava according to UP Act 2009;
∎ Arrange to orient UPs to exercise Social Accountability Tools/RTI;
∎ Assist PC to prepare different types of SA tools and Citizen Charters and apply them according to project design;
∎ Assist PC to develop project related materials that are culturally appropriate for literacy at all level of intended audience;
∎ Collect data to monitor project activities and prepare monitoring report ;
∎ Document the project activities, case studies, meeting minutes, agenda and other project-related information;
∎ Assist PC to conduct Interface Meeting and Public Hearing with assistance of PC and PF;
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with different sectors;
∎ Lead the Project Facilitators to implement the project according project's design.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant program management in development sector
∎ Skilled in motor cycle driving with valid driving license
∎ High level of IT skills especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, SPSS;
∎ Excellent Training skill with proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Experience in liaison and networking with regional level GoB and NGOs;
∎ Excellent knowledge about Union Parishad Act, RTI and Union Parishad Operation Manual;
∎ Experience in Governance Monitoring Tools (Social Audit, Community Score Card, Public Hearing Meeting etc
Salary:
∎ TK. 21,000 (But it will be Tk 25,000 in April,2020 with annual increment and festival bonus)
