Education:
∎ Master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Engineering, Human Geography, Agricultural Science, Development Studies, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
∎ University degree in the above fields with five years of relevant professional experience.

∎ Very good knowledge and experience of UNCRPD, IASC Guidelines-Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action, 2019, and Persons with Disabilities Rights and Protection Act 2013.
∎ Strong Project Management skills
∎ Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
∎ Experience working in partnership to develop a network.
∎ Knowledge of Disaster Risk Reduction and of Disability issues
∎ Monitoring and evaluation
∎ Budget management
∎ Strong strategic analysis capacity, writing skills, and organizational and planning skills.
∎ Prior experience in implementing conflict-sensitive approaches in programming, including undertaking analyses and monitoring is desirable.
∎ Computer literacy, especially database tools.
∎ Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team of colleagues of varied cultural and professional backgrounds.
∎ Proven ability to produce quality work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Project Officer will be supported and will line-manage a Disability expert for the A4C project.
∎ He/she will mobilize and provide all kinds of technical support on DRR/CCA and facilitate capacity-building pieces of training and community-level sessions.
∎ The Project Officer is responsible for:
∎ Job Description:
∎ The Project Officer will have to set up and manage the project (Mainstreaming Disability issues into Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Planning).
∎ Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Project Officer will be supported and will line-manage a Disability expert for the A4C project.
∎ He/she will mobilize and provide all kinds of technical support on DRR/CCA and facilitate capacity-building pieces of training and community-level sessions.
∎ The Project Officer is responsible for:
∎ Project Implementation:
∎ Setting up DPOs/SHGs working group for capacity building on advocacy with local government and relevant stakeholders as well as support to conduct community sessions with the support of the Disability Expert of CBMG.
∎ Organize and facilitate training for the target population and conduct community sessions with the support of SHGs as well as provide support to develop household-level disaster risk reduction plans.
∎ In link with the Disability Expert (Project Officer) of CBMG, overall coordination of a survey on 'Disability confidence' among DRR trainers (DRR Volunteers) for the purpose of measuring the " impact" of the training in DRR plan implementation.
∎ Supervise disability issues within the community level engagement and support to the DRR Volunteers and SHGs members for conducting progress monitoring on the DRR plan at the household level.
∎ Ensure efficient and fruitful collaboration with all project partners, in strong link with the Project Coordinator and Disability expert of CBMG.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Monthly consolidated BDT 60,000- 65000/-Includall other benefits and allowances. Experienced and skilled candidates would be offered appropriate packages.
