Experience:
Post Graduate degree in Commerce (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration), CACC preferred. At least 2nd Division/Class or equivalent in all public examinations.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, and administrative roles, preferably in development or donor-funded projects.
Knowledge of financial management principles, procurement procedures, and institutional donor compliance frameworks
Strong proficiency in MS Office, accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems, D365 and spreadsheet analysis.)
Adequate knowledge and skills in computer applications, especially MS Office packages, digital communication tools, and flexibility to work with project management software.

Rationale for the position
The JAGORON Project focuses on strengthening social protection, enhancing youth employability, and improving access to services for vulnerable youth. Effective financial and administrative management is essential to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with donor requirements. The Project Officer – Finance and Admin will play a key role in budgeting, reporting, coordination, and smooth project operations to support successful project implementation.
SOS Bangladesh is seeking competent candidates for the smooth operation of the following position.
Project Name: JAGORON Project
Nature of Job: Fixed Term Contract for One Year (Yearly renewable based on performance)
Project Duration: Up to the 31 December 2028
Area of Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day financial operations, including voucher preparation, payments, and recordkeeping.
Checking & posting of accounting and financial data in D365 software for the partnership projects.
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers in accordance with organizational and donor requirements.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets and forecasts.
Support consolidation of financial reports from consortium partners.
Track expenditures against approved budgets and flag variances for management action.
Prepare and submit financial reports in coordination with the management.
Support procurement activities, ensuring adherence to donor procurement policies and procedures.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of project assets and supplies.
Oversee office logistics, fleet management, and asset tagging.
Provide administrative support to project staff, including travel arrangements, meeting coordination, and logistics.
Maintain organized filing systems for project correspondence, contracts, and financial documents.
Coordinate event logistics such as workshops, training sessions, and field visits.
Ensure compliance with organizations and donor regulations, tax laws, and statutory obligations.
Support preparation for internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Follow up on audit findings and support implementation of corrective actions.
Collaborate with consortium finance teams and partner organizations for financial data exchange and harmonized reporting.
Support communication between finance, procurement, and programme teams to ensure smooth project operations.
Adherence to the Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy & Code of Conduct and Sexual Misconduct Regulation (PSHEA) of the organization.
