Lipy Paper Mills Ltd. is a leading paper manufacturing company committed to producing high-quality paper products for both domestic and international markets. We are seeking a qualified, proactive, and results-driven Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead the Finance & Accounts function, strengthen financial governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support the Company's growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls, treasury management, cost accounting, audit coordination, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements. The role requires close collaboration with senior management to improve profitability, optimize cash flow, and support sound business decision-making.
Lead and oversee the Finance & Accounts Department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS).
Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans while monitoring budget performance and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and dashboards for the Board of Directors and senior management.
Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury operations, and banking relationships to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
Supervise cost accounting systems, product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost analysis to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, overhead allocation, and cost control initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, VAT regulations, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (where applicable), and other statutory requirements.
Oversee preparation and timely submission of VAT, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Advance Income Tax (AIT), corporate income tax returns, and other statutory filings.
Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
Establish, implement, and continuously improve internal control systems, financial policies, and standard operating procedures to safeguard company assets.
Review and authorize journal entries, payment vouchers, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions.
Ensure proper maintenance of the general ledger, fixed asset register, inventory records, and supporting financial documentation.
Monitor capital expenditure, evaluate investment proposals, and perform financial feasibility analyses for new projects and business expansion.
Analyze financial performance, identify business risks, and recommend strategies to improve profitability, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Support commercial and procurement teams by reviewing financial implications of contracts, pricing, and procurement decisions.
Manage banking facilities, loan documentation, working capital financing, and compliance with loan covenants.
Oversee ERP-based accounting systems and recommend process improvements through automation and digital transformation.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team to build a high-performing and compliant finance function.
Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Perform any other finance, accounting, taxation, or corporate governance responsibilities assigned by the Managing Director or Board of Directors.
