Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 283 upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ As partnership with Syngenta Foundation, ESDO is implementing the Nutrition in City Ecosystems (NICE) Project in Dinajpur District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he should have understanding and skills in implementing public health, nutrition, and agriculture value chains.
∎ S/he will be responsible for coordination with multi-sectoral stakeholders working in nutrition platform and all field activities at Value Chain /project unit level for farmers with the help of Farmers’ Hub owners.
∎ S/he will ensure all project activities and interventions are conducted and adopted maintaining the deadline and technical integrity. Specifically, PO will be responsible for establishing linkage and network between farmers’ hub and city/municipality through creating a strong supply chain.
∎ Also look after for linking projects farmers with markets and suitable agri-credit at unit level. Stationed at working area level, PO have to travel extensively in rural areas by motorcycle and must have a valid driving license.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2-3 years practical experience in relevant fields.
∎ Candidate must have analytical skill & Computer skill
∎ S/he will have report writing skill both in Bengali and English
∎ Must have attractive presentation and facilitation skills.
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle and should have valid driving license.
∎ Skill in MS word, excel, PowerPoint, internet browsing is mandatory.
∎ ESDO Management may revise the job description as and when feel necessary to do so
Salary:
∎ Monthly Consolidated salary BDT. 30,000/-
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 2(two) yearly equivalent of one month gross salary.
