Job Context:
∎ CONTRACT LENGTH: 06 months with possibility of extension
∎ JOB LOCATION: Dhaka with frequent field visit
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The overall responsibility of the Project Manager is providing both programmatic and management support to ensure quality implementation of Reaching Impact, Saturation and Epidemic Control (RISE) project. With a direct report to Technical Director the position will play an active role in planning, implementing and monitoring the project activities in Bangladesh. Detail responsibilities are as follows-
∎
∎ Assist to develop program work plan and budget in a participatory manner and do the necessary revision on that considering program need
∎ Monitor the overall implementation of work plan activities as well as do the necessary coordination with concern HQ colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure on time support
∎ Support M&E team to track indicators for relevant program area as well as progress against meeting deliverables and targets.
∎ Coordinate with support functions (logistics, Admin, HR and Procurement) and M&E to ensure on time support to overcome operational challenges
∎ Work closely with Finance to track and monitor program expenditure, budget as well as submission of routine reports
∎ Ensure a detail project life-line procurement plan and on time supplies of key program related materials and equipment
∎ Ensure the necessary training information is registered in organizational database and support staff to use data dashboards for program management
∎ Provide coordination and leadership with the relevant bodies (technical team, M & E and Communication) to ensure on time submission of different project reports as well as developing programmatic documents, briefs as per donor requirement
∎ Represent Jhpiego Bangladesh at external meetings as needed as well as develop and maintain excellent relationships with relevant government authorities, partner agencies and donors
∎ Ensure compliance with organizational and donor policies, rules and regulations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 7 -8 years' direct experience of managing projects, preferably health related projects
∎ Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the Bangladesh healthcare system, especially health workforce development and management issues
∎ Ability to interact skillfully and diplomatically with numerous counterparts
∎ Adequate analytical and problem solving skills; and innovative ways of managing things
∎ Excellent skill of program planning, management and budgeting
∎ Prior experience of working in a complex environment with multi-disciplinary team setup
∎ Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English
∎ Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks
∎ Proficiency in MS Office
∎ Willingness to travel frequently by using public transport
