Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project / Programme delivery

∎ Provides specialist project coordination, with responsibility for the delivery of the project outcomes and results and ensuring project standards are met in line with British Council standards.
∎ Develops detailed project and budget plans, outlining how project funds and resources will be used to deliver specified annual targets and metrics.
∎ Leads on the financial management of the project including budget management and reforecasting, to ensure project budget is up to date and adheres to British Council financial policies and processes.
∎ Coordinates the delivery of relevant project activities and undertakes specified technical/support tasks (e.g. managing events, communications, contacts, networks, logistics, external suppliers, meetings) to meet agreed targets.
∎ Communicates with partners/internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and showcase project delivery.
∎ Line manages relevant team members to ensure smooth operations and effective team coordination and support.
∎ Ensures the completion of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) details as per programme guidelines and the requirements of the client, as well feeding information into the British Council's own internal M&E framework/system.
∎ Ensures necessary reporting as per the project British Council and client requirements.
∎ Follows and provides guidance to relevant colleagues in relation to British Council project procedures (project, financial and risk reporting), to ensure compliance with all systems and standards.
∎ Safeguarding

∎ Ensures safeguarding protocols and guidance are adhered to, as set out in the British Council's Safeguarding Policy for vulnerable adults and children.
∎ EDI Requirement

∎ Builds an understanding of and complies with the British Council's Equality Diversity and Inclusion policies, as well as the British Council's wider Standards and Code of Conduct

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' work experience in project management
∎ An understanding of best practice in safeguarding children and adults
∎ Excellent English and Bangla communication skills
∎ English Language at Proficiency Level equivalent to IELTS band score 6.5
∎ Applicants should be Bangladeshi passport holder or legally entitled to work in Bangladesh
∎ All necessary background checks as per the British Council Pre-Appointment Screening policy along with medical check-up will need to be completed successfully prior to signing the final employment contract
