Job Responsibilities:
∎ Is the point of contact for the Project Director and the donor organization.
∎ Responsible for planning and implementing the sub-national and field level activities according to work plan and providing guidance to the Learning and Advocacy Officer.
∎ He/ She will actively engage with MAP in rapport building, strengthening coordination and capacity building initiatives in terms of CDRFI.
∎ S/he will oversee, maintaining lobby to the district and Divisional level stakeholders, Project related documentation and report generation and contribute in preparing reports, policy brief and IEC materials in communication with the Technical Coordinator, Climate Risk Financing)
∎ Ensure effective engagement of stakeholders, including government agencies, insurance companies, NGOs, and community organizations, to establish Multi-Actors Platform (MAP) and ensure project success.
∎ Taking initiatives according to the monitoring reports submitted by the learning and Advocacy officer to address the gaps.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Good understanding of the principles and practices of climate and disaster risk financing and insurance, including the various financial instruments and strategies that can be used to manage these risks.
∎ Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress towards project goals.
∎ Good understanding of risk management principles and practices, and be able to identify and mitigate project risks.
∎ Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and to build consensus among diverse groups.
∎ Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, and to lead by example.
∎ Good understanding of the cultural, bio-physical and socio-economic condition of Bagerhat and Satkhira Districts and be able to navigate cultural differences and build relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
∎ Good policy linkage, advocacy and negotiation skills.
∎ Knowledge of good governance, DRR gender equity and multifaceted intervention
∎ Willing to spend significant time in the field
∎ Ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
∎ Ability to prioritize activities to act and decide promptly.
∎ Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point);
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in local language, English and Bengali
∎ Knowledge of good governance, DRR gender equity and multifaceted intervention
