Job Context:
∎ Reports to: Human Resources Manager/ Program Manager
∎ Contract duration: Up to August 2023 , full-time position (with possibility of contract extension)
∎ AGRAJATTRA is Women headed non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental voluntary, L/NNGO based in Cox`s bazar, Bangladesh. AGRAJATTRA`S vision is a fair society where peace, social justice, good governance and gender equity will remain. Our main areas of work include Child protection, prevention of violence against women and girls, women`s empowerment, life-skills education, and humanitarian response & DRR in emergency situations as well as Rohingya crisis (Food security & livelihoods, Shelter development, WASH, Health and hygiene, Protection, Education, Energy and Environment) etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible to provide leadership management of the overall provision of HR services, policies, and programs for Agrajattra. This includes orienting new staff, developing, implementing and managing HR processes and procedures in accordance with Agrajattra Policy and standards. HR officer will also manage staff recruitment and performance evaluation process. Details are as follows-
∎ Analyze the Agrajattra HR needs and establish specific HR objectives for office to ensure that HR policy/procedures and standards are met
∎ Review salary and benefits policies for local nationals to ensure that organization is able to attract and retain highly skilled staff and coordinate annual merit review process
∎ Review and update local employment policies as per local laws and best practices in the international NGO community and liaise with Global Human Resources as and when required
∎ Manage the design, implementation and administration of innovative compensation programs and policies and conduct job evaluations on new and existing positions, including reviewing job descriptions and recommending appropriate grade assignments
∎ Evaluate jobs for internal equity and external competitiveness against salary survey data and review Agrajattra benefits packages from time to time to ensure compliance with local laws and competitiveness with other international NGOs
∎ Evaluate and benchmark new jobs to place them appropriately in the organization's salary scale, prescreen candidates and administer appropriate tests and coordinate next level of interviews
∎ Organize, lead and document post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates and perform detailed reference checking and/or reference analyses on selected candidates and review results with hiring managers
∎ Ensure recruiting and hiring practices complies with government regulations and organizational policies and regularly evaluate recruitment strategies for individual positions to ensure that appropriate candidates are being
∎ Conduct follow-up with new staff to ensure adaptation and identify problem areas and work closely with Supervisors to address issues affecting new staff
∎ Develop and maintain a healthy employee relations environment providing staff a venue to discuss their work related problems and concern, advise and assist staff with disciplinary and grievance issues and mediate in staff conflict situations
∎ Ensure that employee files are complete and all required documentation maintained in a confidential and secure manner.
∎ Maintain recruitment and attrition statistics for staff and ensure that all mandatory checks completed in a timely fashion.
∎ Ensure employee Safeguarding:-
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programs goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any report-able incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2 years' experience in USAID /UN funded Organization.
∎ Ability to exercise discretion and consistently apply professional judgement; maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all time.
∎ Demonstrated excellence in oral and written English.
∎ Ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence.
∎ Excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle a variety of assignments sometimes under pressure of deadlines.
∎ Computer skills demonstrating competency of Microsoft office: Excel, Word and Power point.
∎ Ability to work independently and to exercise independent judgment.
∎ Be willing to take on extra responsibilities in order to achieve the goals/objectives set by the organization.

Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
