Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non-government humanitarian organization working for the advancement of the poor, women, children, excluded people and people with disability since 2000. It is a child and gender sensitive organization. It always values all diversified people without discriminating religions, caste, creeds and suppresses all sorts of discrimination with ethnic and minority people. It also values class and levels of team members as well as beneficiaries.
∎ The organization is going to implement a project titled "Fisher Women`s Empowerment and Economic Development (WEED)" project funded by Oxfam in Bangladesh at Kalapara Upazila under Patuakhali district. The project duration is 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2024. In this current project NSS is seeking Project Facilitators to implement the project activities. PFs will be responsible for implementing the project activities at filed level as per plan of the project. They will be reportable to PC and NSS Management.
∎ Job Location: Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali District.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare individual activity plan based on detailed project implementation plan and implement field activities accordingly.
∎ Facilitate community sessions for awareness raising on human rights, gender, safeguarding, child marriage prevention, women leadership development, social safety net programs, climate change, disaster risk reduction, health and nutrition.
∎ Arrange FGDs, community consultations for beneficiary selection.
∎ Form fisher women's group to develop platforms to raise voice.
∎ Provide support to conduct survey and study as per need of the project.
∎ Assist PM to form Union and Upazila Citizen Forum (UCF and UzCF).
∎ Influence LGIs to organize Wardshava as per LGI operational guideline to reflect women fishers' rights.
∎ Ensure Open Budget Sessions to strengthen women fisherfolks participations in raising voice.
∎ Assist PM to maintain liaison with the political leaders, government officials, NGO personnel, community people, women fisherfolks, women groups and other civil society forum.
∎ Assist PM to organize training, sharing meeting, workshop, seminar etc.
∎ Collect information and data for preparing reports, study reports, impact analysis reports etc.
∎ Provide information and data to PM for reporting and documentation to ensure effective coordination and proper implementation.
∎ Communicate with different stakeholders as per need of the project or as per instruction of PM or higher management.
∎ Represent Vision and Mission of NSS at field level.
∎ Work with different committees formed by NSS when assigned.
∎ Work as a team member of the coordination of organization and facilitate team work. All other duties assigned by the PC and Executive Director.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant program management in development sector.
∎ The person experienced in gender, women empowerment, empowerment offisherfolks, disaster management, and community empowerment will get preference.
∎ Strong facilitation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
∎ Ability to work independently, functioning effectively in a collaborative team environment
∎ Excellent command on English and Bangla in verbal and written communication
∎ Excellent communication and networking skill with wide range of stakeholders like GOs, NGOs, civil society and local elite and influential people.
∎ Ability to extensive field visit with excellent physical condition will be essential criteria.
∎ Female candidates will be given priority and preference will be given to the local candidates.
∎ (the age limit may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate).
Salary: Tk. 16000 (Monthly)
