Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor Degree in Social Science/ Disaster Management/ Diploma in Agriculture.
∎ Minimum 3 years working experience in Climate change, livelihood, Agriculture, DRR and governance project

Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non government organization working in coastal area of Bangladesh since the year 2000 with a view to establish rights of poor and excluded people. NSS is implementing a SIDA funded and Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) supported project named `Strengthening Civil Society and Public Institutions to Build Community Resilience to Adapt Climate Change -CRCC.The project` duration is July 2017 to September 2021. The aim of the project is to build capacity of climate vulnerable community people and different stakeholders like UDMC, UzDMC and UP representatives. NSS is seeking a Project Facilitator for the project area.
∎ Job Location: Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district and Pathorgata upazila of Barguna District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Formation of Community Groups, Farmers Groups and Youth Volunteer Groups;
∎ Organize regular meetings with different groups;
∎ Maintain regular communication with UP, DAE, UDMC,DOL and other CSOs;
∎ Develop and shape different types of climate adaptive agriculture/livelihood technologies.
∎ Provide technical support to IGA and agricultural demo plot beneficiary and others colleagues.
∎ Help project officer to prepare Monthly, Quarterly, Sixth Monthly and Annual reports.
∎ Prepare different success and failure case-studies and best practices report.
∎ Maintain a solid and up-to-date understanding with all the implementing organizations & other NGOs
∎ Assist to conduct SA Tools;
∎ Complete collateral contacts with different stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Facilitation skill with proven oral communication in Bengali and English;
∎ Proven skills and competencies to work with MS office.
∎ Experience in community mobilization;
∎ Good knowledge about CCA &DRR, Disaster Act, Union Parishad Act, and RTI Act;
∎ Knowledge in social accountability Tools (Score Card, Public Hearing Meeting etc.)
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle with valid driving license
Salary:
∎ 16,000 BDT with other benefits as project budget
