• MBA or Master’s degree in development studies, Environmental Science, Gender Studies or related fields.

• Recruit and coordinate expert entrepreneur mentors to guide project teams.

• Manage a structured incubation program to support participants in developing their ideas into viable social or environmental enterprises, ventures, or startups.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing large-scale development or climate-related projects.

• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

• Willingness to travel frequently to climate-vulnerable areas.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder partnerships and foster collaboration.

• Strong understanding of gender-responsive climate action and innovation processes.

• Proficiency in budget management and monitoring.

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English and Bangla.

Project Overview:

THE EARTH is a youth-centric NGO. Our goal is to enhance and ensure sustainable development of Bangladesh. We aim to provide knowledge, resources, and care to support each community to reach its maximum potential and achieve greater harmony between people and the planet. The major focus area of The Earth is Youth development through various engagement, skill & entrepreneurship development and engaging youth to become responsive and combat Climate Change.

The "Eco-Leaders: Youth Empowerment Initiative on Environment, Climate and Renewable Energy for Bangladesh" is a transformative program aimed at empowering young individuals aged 18 to 35 to become effective advocates and leaders in environmental conservation, climate action, and renewable energy adoption. This initiative, running from August 2024 to June 2027, seeks to address pressing environmental challenges and build climate resilience in Bangladesh through comprehensive training, youth-led projects, and networking with key stakeholders.

Report To: Assistant Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage a structured incubation program to support participants in developing their ideas into viable social or environmental enterprises, ventures, or startups.

• Recruit and coordinate expert entrepreneur mentors to guide project teams.

  Project Management & Coordination

• Lead the implementation of project activities across all targeted regions.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and budgets to ensure smooth execution

• Monitor progress and oversee project deliverables, ensuring alignment with the objectives of gender inclusion and climate resilience.

• Coordinate with field staff, consultants, and external partners for project activities, such as bootcamps, EXPOs and high-level dialogues.

  Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, private sector stakeholders, development partners and community leaders.

• Facilitate consultations with women leaders, youth representatives and local stakeholders to ensure their voices are reflected in project outcomes.

  Policy Advocacy

• Collaborate with the team to develop policy briefs and advocacy materials.

• Facilitate high-level dialogues with policymakers to promote gender-responsive climate policies.

  Innovation & Capacity Building

• Oversee the organization of Innovation Bootcamps, Incubation Support and pilot projects to promote green business models.

• Ensure that women and youth innovators are equipped with the necessary resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to succeed.

  Documentation & Reporting

• Lead the preparation of project reports, progress updates and impact assessments. Document success stories, lessons learned and best practices to inform future project phases.
