SAINT-Bangladesh is seeking a professional for the position of Project Coordinator for the project titled "Combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through Adolescents and Youth Empowerment" funded by Education and Development Foundation-Educo and the project will be implemented Sadar Upazila in Barishal district from January 2023 to December 2025. Note that this requirement will depend on the availability of donor funds.
∎ Job Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible to conduct capacity development training for YCV, CBO, Union parishad, teachers and others relevant stakeholders. Close monitoring of Adolescent and Youth Club (AYC) (SC) for ensuring safeguarding and Child Protection issue. Regular follow up the facilitators for ensuring mobilizing community leaders and men, boys, women and girls from the community to participate in awareness campaigns and discussions/dialogue on GBV, conducting community training, supervising Community Facilitators and managing budget lines for prevention activities. The job holder will maintain close coordination/functional relationship with concerned authority, institutions/departments, and like-minded organizations for better quality implementation of the multidimensional services providers. The position is required for capacity building of team members and quality assurance & monitoring of project activities related to AYC empowerment, Gender, and child protection. The Project Coordinator will also work with the community, students, teachers, SMC and other sectors to identify GBV risks and share findings on a regular basis to inform advocacy.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Management: Plan, direct, coordinate and lead to implementation of "Combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV)" through Adolescents and Youth Empowerment" project to ensure that the goal and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame &program guideline.
∎ Build and nature effective team work in the program team and a non-discriminatory & gender friendly workplace environment that is conducive to staff retention and build a high performing team.
∎ Outline work plan to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
∎ Review status reports prepared by project staffs and modify schedules or plans as required.
∎ Prepare and review project reports for submitting to the Management of SAINT-Bangladesh and EDUCO.
∎ Responsible for overall quality and management of "Combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through Adolescents and Youth Empowerment" Project.
∎ Recognize and identify the best solution of problems arises in the working area.
∎ Assist in assessing appropriate program needs through situation analysis, review studies and sharing experiences
∎ Identify the programmatic challenges and recommend possible ways to overcome.
∎ Responsible for ensuring required Financial, Administrative and logistics support to implement the program activities smoothly and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program;
∎ Human Resource: Assist Senior Management in staff recruitment process for the project as per HR manual of SAINT-Bangladesh and Donor requirement.
∎ Ensure that each staff has job description, and orient the staff on their job description.
∎ Responsible for supervision of all project staffs and guide them in right way.
∎ Make periodic assessment of the performance of the project staff and take necessary steps for ensuring maximum contribution toward achieving program and organization goals and objectives.
∎ Identify and effectively resolve staffs issues to ensure there is no/less negative impact on program/beneficiaries
∎ Provide on the job training, coaching, counselling and mentoring to the staff as appropriate.
∎ Initiate appropriate disciplinary measures to the concerned staff as and when required in consultation with Senior Management.
∎ Program Management & Reporting: Prepare and timely submission of Monthly, Quarterly, Six-monthly and Annual Reports to SAINT-Bangladesh Head Quarter/Educo and all relevant government offices as per requirement.
∎ Organize meeting with "Combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through Adolescents and Youth Empowerment" J Project Staff/Save the Educo Focal and other relevant officials of Educo and update them about project performance and seek their assistance in achieving the goals & objectives.
∎ Make field visit plan & act accordingly for monitoring, supervision & improve the quality of the project activities.
∎ Review all project activities and reports submitted by project/donor offices on monthly/quarterly/half yearly/annual basis and response accordingly.
∎ Document and disseminate program experiences at different level.
∎ Adopt and execute the feedbacks, suggestions and guidance from Educo for further improvement of program operation and quality.
∎ Be focal point for Gender Action Plan (GAP) and ensure the regular follow up on GAP throughout the project period
∎ In cooperation with MEAL team of Educo/SAINT-Bangladesh, ensure proper data collection mechanisms that collect SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) data are in place and are utilized regularly
∎ Financial and Administrative Support: Ensure compliances of SAINT-Bangladesh, Donor and Government in different evens/issues including Upazilla/union level.
∎ Ensure & take appropriate measures for safety & security of office premises, houses & staff by disseminating security information especially during the time of unrest situation.
∎ Coordinate preparation of Details Implementation Plan/Budget following program guidelines & logical framework.
∎ Provide monthly projections of budget and review the Budget versus Actuals (BvA) on a regular basis
∎ Check in all kinds of financial transactions done by all the project staffs and ensure accountability and transparency in all kinds of expenditure.
∎ Arrange procurement of all materials/logistics (regular items, program materials) for the respective Project Office & field and ensure timely supply of materials. And, coordinate with donor to procure bulk items as and when required.
∎ Ensure keeping updated records of all Assets of program. Ensure the best management of warehouse & stores.
∎ Coordination & Networking: The Project Coordinate with Dhaka based lead/ management/program managers & focal person/other official, District & Upazila level government official, local/private sector institutions for ensuring better service and update them about program activities.
∎ Participate in different government/non-government institutions' meeting/forum (if and where necessary).
∎ Assist program staffs to develop and maintain such linkages with GOB/local government/other agencies and utilize the best of services/facilities.
∎ Network with local and regional agencies, NGOs and educational institutions.

∎ General: Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor and are in line with the skills and background of the employee towards career development.
∎ Ready to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh.
∎ Others: Provide technical support to strengthen and standardize programming across sites, including psychosocial support activities and case management systems, outreach and prevention strategies, advocacy and awareness-raising efforts.
∎ Carry out other related task as and when assigned by the line manager in scope of the project.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 05 years relevant working experience including minimum 03 years in management/supervisory/leadership position.
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point presentation
∎ Motor-cycle driving skills and valid driving license
∎ S/he is expected to have sound knowledge on Bangladesh rural context and experience in working with multi sectoral program (Education, Health, Adolescent development, Gender and disaster management) including stakeholders at different level and experience in leading & managing field-level activities.
∎ S/he should have excellent skills in program planning, leading, coordinating, interpersonal communication, networking, presentation, problem solving & decision making, conflict resolution, time management, representing, monitoring, supervision, staff management, documentation & reporting
∎ Advance knowledge on financial & administrative management and good knowledge and skills in forecasting and budgeting.
∎ Knowledge on PRA/PLA, Gender development, Life skills, Early Childhood Development, Primary Education, Adolescent Development/Reproductive Health, Maternal & Newborn Child Health Care & Nutrition, Community Mobilization, Child Right & Child Protection program management and its inter-linkages with different development interventions will be an added advantage.
∎ Good command in English & Bengali, both written and verbal.
∎ S/he should belong multi discipline team approach, non-discriminatory & gender sensitive, open, transparent, accountable and positive attitude.

Salary: Tk. 42000 (Monthly)
