Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Master's Degree in social science from any reputed university in Gender Studies/Development Studies/Sociology/Anthropology or any other relevant field with at least five years' experience working in development issues with international organizations/ INGOs.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role holder will be responsible for managing the project, "Combatting Gender Based Violence (CGBV) in Bangladesh" on behalf of Christian Aid, a project funded by UN WOMEN in Bangladesh, one or two additional project and provide technical support to humanitarian response, based on the need, The role will also represent Christian Aid in meetings and networks and will increase the profile and visibility of Christian Aid's gender and inclusion work as well as country program. The role will provide technical expertise to Christian Aid and partner organizations on gender and prevention and protection of gender-based violence. The role holder will work with the team to ensure that gender and inclusion is integrated from program design to implementation.
∎ The Program Officer Inclusion will be responsible to provide technical expertise on gender and inclusion. The Program Officer -Inclusion will primarily manage "Combatting Gender Based Violence (CGBV) in Bangladesh" in line with the agreed plan and also one or two additional projects on the subject. The post holder will also provide technical inputs in gender & inclusion related issues in humanitarian response, as required. He/she will network and build relationships to enhance Christian Aid's gender and inclusion programming and contribute to Christian Aid's overall strategy. The post holder will report to Programme Manager- Gender and Inclusion.
∎ Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
∎ Responsible for the project management of the assigned project.
∎ Provide technical assistance to ensure that project activities are implemented and designed accordingly.
∎ Lead capacity development activities designed to implement with the Deputy Commissioners office and Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Comilla, Patuakhali and Bogura
∎ Managing local implementing partners
∎ Provide technical assistance on gender & inclusion related issues in development and humanitarian response, as required.
∎ Provide technical expertise to develop program monitoring systems to enhance documentation.
∎ Produce high quality report as per requirement of donor and Christian Aid
∎ Prepare regular updates and written reports as required for programme reporting.
∎ Produce IEC materials and lead the awareness and advocacy campaigns on reducing gender-based violence.
∎ Contribute to the proposal development, as required.
∎ Develop and support in rolling out M&E plan.
∎ Undertake regular field visits to monitor the programme progress and ensure the quality of programmes.
∎ Represent Christian Aid in networks and sectors.
∎ Facilitate assessments and surveys (baselines and end lines - if any) in association with programme and MEAL team.
∎ Contribute to the global MEAL and Programme Quality initiatives.
∎ These key tasks and responsibilities are subject to change. Any change will be made in consultation with the post holder.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential:
∎ Knowledge of women's rights and gender-based violence issues in Bangladesh.
∎ Experience working on gender-based violence projects.
∎ Excellent facilitation and communication skills with high level government and private sector.
∎ Solid understanding of Project Cycle Management.
∎ Good understanding and experience designing and implementing development programs to advance gender and inclusion outcomes in Bangladesh.
∎ Good understanding of human rights, equity, inclusion, gender and governance.
∎ Experience in coordination with different stakeholders and partnership management
∎ Excellent verbal and written fluency in English and Bangla.
∎ Confident and clear communication skills, with an ability to transmit key messages in a variety of ways, appropriate to different audiences.
∎ Experience of gender & inclusion issues in humanitarian issues.
∎ Desirable:
∎ Experience working on projects with government and business sector.
∎ Training and facilitation skills
