Job Context:
∎ PRAGROSHOR is a Bangladeshi Non-Governmental Development Organization. It is a feminist, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory nonprofit organization. We extend a variety of support to individuals, institutions and communities to become more gender sensitive in their philosophies and practices. We provide training, resources and support to existing women`s and human rights organizations. We also conduct campaign, and lobby on key gender issues, affecting the country and the region.
∎ PRAGROSHOR invites application from an experienced development professional and/or activist with a proven track record of working on initiatives to end VAW for implementation of its "Jukto Hou, Mukto Hou: Connecting survivors, strengthening voices and creating gender-transformative changes" Project funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation. The project seeks to center the needs of women and girl survivors of SGBV. It aims to create a space where survivors themselves can come together and take initiatives that are transformative not only in their individual journey towards well-being and agential livelihoods but also towards developing a feminist collectivity.
∎ The project is to be implemented in Dhaka District for the period of 1 March 2020 to 31 December 2023.
∎ Period: 4 years (March 2020-to December 2023)
∎ Pragroshor seeks a Program Officer (PO) to provide technical and implementation support to a project titled "Jukto Hou, Mukto Hou" and also conduct day to day activities of Pragroshor.
∎ Candidates should have demonstrated skill in organizing and conducting trainings /workshops/and other programs to support survivors, women`s networks, groups and diverse communities. They should also have the necessary skills to design and lead social media campaigns on VAW-related issues.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communicate and maintain relationships with survivors, WROs, police and allies.
∎ Provide and promote gender and feminists perspective in the programs and activities of Pragroshor.
∎ Facilitate meetings, workshops and training events.
∎ Manage Pragroshor's social media and facilitate various online campaigns on VAW-related issues.
∎ Provide support to Program Coordinator in areas related to overall planning, implementation of the project "Jukto Hou, Mukto Hou".
∎ Assist the Programme Coordinator in the implementation of other programs of Pragroshor.
∎ Any other relative tasks as required by the organisation

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ 3 years relevant working experience in any development or social mobilization organization.
∎ Experience in working and collaborating with national level networks and likeminded organizations
∎ Computer skills, including social media management
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Age can be considered in case of experience and interest about the task

Salary:
∎ Tk 25,000 - 30,000 per month (gross, will depend on experience)
