Job Context:
∎ PRAGROSHOR is a Bangladeshi Non-Governmental Development Organization. It is a feminist, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory nonprofit organization. We extend a variety of support to individuals, institutions and communities to become more gender sensitive in their philosophies and practices. We provide training, resources and support to existing women`s and human rights organizations. We also conduct campaign, and lobby on key gender issues, affecting the country and the region.
∎ PRAGROSHOR invites application from an experienced development professional and/or activist with a proven track record of working on initiatives to end VAW for implementation of its "Jukto Hou, Mukto Hou: Connecting survivors, strengthening voices and creating gender-transformative changes" Project funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation. The project seeks to center the needs of women and girl survivors of SGBV. It aims to create a space where survivors themselves can come together and take initiatives that are transformative not only in their individual journey towards well-being and agential livelihoods but also towards developing a feminist collectivity.
∎ The project is to be implemented in Dhaka District for the period of 1 March 2020 to 31 December 2023.
∎ Period: 4 years (March 2020 - to December 2023)

∎ Pragroshor seeks a Program Coordinator to provide technical and management assistance for the "Jukto Hou, Mukto Hou" Project, and also coordinate the day to day activities of Pragroshor.
∎ Candidates should have a thorough understanding of feminist principles and practices, the capability to integrate gender across programs, and build and foster relationships with survivors, other feminist groups and networks. They must also have expertise in project design and implementation, including proposal writing, monitoring and evaluation.
∎ The Program Coordinator is a full-time position, based in Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) survivors and women's groups.
∎ Design and facilitate monthly/quarterly meetings, trainings, and workshops for survivors, police and other WRO networks, using participatory and feminist methodologies and approaches.
∎ Provide technical assistance and support in overall planning and implementation of the "Jukto Hou, Mukto Hou" project.
∎ Develop proposals for Pragroshor and monitor and evaluate progress of the project.
∎ Manage and supervising staff, and volunteer teams.
∎ Coordinate other activities of Pragroshor, such as gender and feminist capacity building trainings, workshops and dialogues.
∎ Provide support and guidance to the Finance officer on financial matters.
∎ Any other relevant task as required by the organisation.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ 5 years relevant working experience in a development or social mobilization organization, with experience in coordinating teams and mobilizing networks. Working experience with survivors will be of an added value.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of social media.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Age can be considered in case of experience and interest about the task

Salary:
∎ Taka 35,000/40,000 per month (gross), depending on experience
