Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) a nonprofit organization in Bangladesh established on 9 February 1958 by Hazrat Khan BahdurAhsanullah (R.), an eminent educationist, social reformer and spiritual leader with the motto of delivering `Divine and Humanitarian Services` for improving the quality of life of the disadvantaged poor and socially excluded people. DAM enjoysConsultative Status with UN ECOSOC and Operational Relations with UNESCO. Its development programmes aims at improving living conditions of the disadvantaged people. The Mission facilitates increased access for the deprived people and communities to services. In doing so, DAM could expand its world of work in partnership with communities, government, NGOs, and corporate entities both at national and international level. DAM`s current diversified works encompassesmulti-dimensional field programs and self-governing institutions in education, health and economies development sectors in Bangladesh.
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission has been implementing a 2 years` project entitled "Promote Quality Education (PQE) in the Mainstream Government Primary Schools",and "Adolescent and Youth as an Agent of Change to Promote a Progressive Society (A&Y Development)"in Dhaka City by the financial support of Educo. It invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment.
∎ Name of Project: Promote Quality Education in the Mainstream Government Primary Schools
∎ Employment Status: Contractual (Upto-December 2022)
∎ Job Location: DAM Head Office,Dhaka. Frequent field visit will be required.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will ensure the effective implementation of the project in line with the approved project proposal and budget;
∎ S/he will manage and supervise project team at field level those are working under the assigned projects;
∎ S/he will maintain linkage with Govt. and Non-Govt. service providers;
∎ S/he will have to conduct study/survey as per need of the project and prepare report for the donor and organization;
∎ S/he will facilitate to formulate project implementation plan together with team and other relevant stakeholders and execute as well;
∎ S/he will facilitate the capacity building activities including training, workshops etc. of the project stakeholders including staff;
∎ S/he will Prepare monthly fund requisition, progress report, case story, and other necessary documents as required by the project;
∎ S/he will organize day to day field activities according to the project action plan;
∎ S/he will rapport building with the communities and strongly mobilize the project participants and stakeholders;
∎ S/he will maintain liaison with the donor agencies and meet donor compliances;
∎ S/he will perform any other responsibilities as guided by the supervisor;
∎ Track project expenditure against respective deliverables and manage budget.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age not more than 45 years
∎ Good command both in English & Bangla
∎ Skills in communicating with English speaking foreign donors
∎ Skills in writing reports and assessment in standard English
∎ Good knowledge and handling project management techniques
∎ Experience in the use of office equipment, computer and analytical software packages along with MS word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
∎ Knowledge of Project/team Management, coordination, leadership, community engagement, advocacy & networking, and rights-based approach
∎ Candidates should have Knowledge on safeguarding issues particularly on child protection.
∎ Capacity to manage project team
∎ Willing to stay field office area.
∎ Diverse knowledge about Non-formal Education Project management
∎ Experience on Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation process
∎ Excellent facilitation, coordination, reporting and presentation skills
∎ Ability to work and lead a multi-cultural team and meeting deadlines
Salary:
∎ BDT65,000 with other benefits will pay as per project provision and organizational policy
