Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide strategic leadership and direction for the nursing college.
∎ Oversee the overall administration and management of the college, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and standards.
∎ Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing curricula and academic programs in alignment with standards.
∎ Ensure that programs meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry and regulatory requirements.
∎ Recruit, mentor and evaluate faculty members to promote professional development and effective teaching practices.
∎ Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for faculty and staff.
∎ Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
∎ Provide guidance and support to students in academic and professional development, including advising on career paths.
∎ Develop and manage the college budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
∎ Establish partnerships with healthcare institutions, community organizations and other stakeholders to enhance clinical training and job placement for students.
∎ Represent the college at professional organizations, conferences and community events.
∎ Promote and support faculty and student research initiatives in nursing and healthcare.
∎ Encourage innovative teaching methodologies and the integration of technology in nursing education.
∎ Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the educational environment and ensure the safety and well-being of students and faculty.
∎ Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, using data-driven decision-making to implement improvements.
∎ Gather feedback from students, faculty and stakeholders to inform strategic planning.
