Responsibilities & Context:

Horizon International School (Uttara, Sector 6) is looking for a caring, energetic, and responsible Pre & Play Teacher for our early years section. We are strongly preferring candidates from the Uttara area for easier commute and regular attendance.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct play-based learning for early childhood students (Pre-Play/Playgroup level).

• Create a safe, joyful, and structured classroom environment.

• Plan daily activities: circle time, storytelling, rhymes, art & craft, sensory play, games, and basic learning readiness.

• Support children’s development in communication, social skills, motor skills, and behavior.

• Maintain classroom cleanliness, learning materials, and child safety.

• Observe students and keep simple progress notes.

• Communicate politely with parents/guardians when needed.

• Work with the coordinator and team; follow school policies and safeguarding guidelines.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).

• Training in ECCD / Montessori / Early Years will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in Playgroup/Nursery teaching is preferred.

• Freshers may apply if confident and good with young children.

Additional Requirements

• Must be patient, friendly, and responsible.

• Good communication skills.

• Preferred residence: Uttara (high priority).

Salary

• BDT 10,000 during probation

• BDT 15,000 after appointment (after 2 months)

• Salary will be revised after 1 year (based on performance and school policy)
