Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) with 4 years’ experience (for Physiotherapist) or Diploma in Physiotherapy with 2 years’ experience (for Junior Physiotherapist) from a recognized institute.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of different physiotherapy techniques and equipment.
Physically fit and able to handle patients safely.

Job Summary:-
The Physiotherapist / Junior Physiotherapist is responsible for helping patients recover from illness, injury, or surgery through physical therapy and rehabilitation. The position involves providing treatment to both in-patients (IPD)—such as bed-bound or post-surgical patients—and out-patients (OPD)—those visiting the physiotherapy center for ongoing care.
The role includes assessing patients, planning and delivering therapy sessions, monitoring progress, and promoting recovery through exercise, manual therapy, and use of physiotherapy equipment. The physiotherapist works closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective, safe, and patient-centered rehabilitation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. For IPD (In-Patient Department)
Visit patients in wards and provide physiotherapy at the bedside.
Help post-operative patients start early movement and breathing exercises.
Assist patients with walking, transfers, and safe mobility.
Prevent complications like muscle stiffness or lung problems.
Work with doctors and nurses to plan patient recovery.
Prepare patients for discharge and guide them for home exercises.
2. For OPD (Out-Patient Department)
Treat patients who come to the physiotherapy center with pain or mobility problems.
Plan and provide exercises for back pain, arthritis, stroke, sports injury, etc.
Use physiotherapy machines (ultrasound, heat therapy, TENS, etc.) when needed.
Teach home exercise programs and posture correction.
Keep records of patient progress and follow-up visits.
3. General Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate each patient before starting treatment.
Keep detailed records of treatment given and progress made.
Report patient progress to doctors and the head of the department.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of physiotherapy equipment.
Attend departmental meetings and training when required.
Follow hospital rules, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies.
Provide compassionate and respectful care to all patients.
