Job Context:
∎ Department: Operations
∎ Reporting To: Operations Manager
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ Collection, preparation, and preservation of patient's sample
∎ -Communications: A phlebotomist must maintain a professional manner with other health professionals, especially with patients, who often are afraid of having samples drawn.
∎ -Safety: Phlebotomists must take precautions when handling samples. They follow sterile procedures, washing their hands frequently, using clean needles, and wearing sterile gloves and a clean lab coat. If a medical emergency arises, they must be prepared to give first aid.
∎ -Sample Collection: The phlebotomist collects samples and delivers them to the lab in accordance with the doctor's orders. Before taking a sample, the phlebotomist must identify the patient by full name and date of birth. They must check the information given against the work order.
∎ -Record Keeping: Phlebotomists to help keep patient and lab records updated.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 50 years
∎ Must have a Motorcycle License
∎ 1-3 years of practical experience in a reputed Hospital/Clinic/Diagnostic Centre as a Phlebotomist
∎ Good Clinical Laboratory Practice
∎ Integrity, Dependability, Stress Tolerance, Time Management, Analytical.
∎ High professional standard in regards to Service Quality.
∎ Willingness to work in a start-up environment.
∎ Embodies corporate values: Teamwork, Respect, and Professionalism.
∎ Might require to complete tasks outside working hours to the extent necessary to carry out his/her duties.
Salary: Tk. 18000 - 20000 (Monthly)
