Responsibilities & Context:
Who has bicycle will be preferred for the position.
Medicine Delivery and Logistics:
Pick up prepared and verified online medicine orders from the hospital pharmacy.
Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled delivery times.
Safely transport medications, including those requiring special handling (e.g., temperature control, controlled substances), ensuring their integrity is maintained throughout transit.
Deliver orders directly to the patient or designated recipient, verifying identity as per protocol.
Obtain necessary signatures and complete all digital or paper delivery documentation accurately using handheld devices or systems.
Order and Inventory Management:
Verify the contents of the delivery package against the order slip/manifest before leaving the pharmacy.
Manage and process cash or electronic payments from customers upon delivery, if applicable, and reconcile daily transactions.
Handle any returned, undelivered, or damaged goods according to established pharmacy procedures.
Customer Service and Communication:
Provide polite, professional, and courteous service to patients and hospital staff.
Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered.
Address basic customer inquiries related to the delivery process and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and local laws, especially concerning the handling of confidential patient information.
Ensure the security of medications and the delivery vehicle at all times.
Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of the delivery report any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle.
Any assigned job by Management.
