∎ The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany`s cultural institute, active worldwide. We promote the study of German abroad and encourage international cultural exchange. We convey a comprehensive image of Germany by providing information about cultural, social and political life in Bangladesh. Our cultural and educational programmes encourage intercultural dialogue and enable cultural involvement that strengthen the development of structures in civil society and foster worldwide mobility.
∎ Start date: 15.2.2023, one year contract.
∎ The PASCH Project Coordinator is a part-time position with official duty of 28 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Participation in the conception, planning and implementation of activities and support measures for PASCH schools (www.pasch-net.de) within the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh's Bildungskooperation Deutsch (Educational Services)
∎ Planning and implementation of cultural events and workshops for students, teachers and headmasters.
∎ Teaching observation
∎ Administration of scholarships for German teachers and students
∎ Planning and implementation of promotional activities for German as a foreign language (DaF) and Germany as a place to study
∎ Project management and its communication, project controlling, reporting and public relations
∎ Advice to educational authorities, schools and teachers on all questions of teaching German as a foreign language (DaF)
∎ Organisation of youth examinations of the Goethe-Institut.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in teaching, ideally a foreign language, in the public or private sector
∎ Experience in project, event and budget management
∎ Experience with social media marketing
∎ Very good command of English and/or German (B2-level/ upper intermediate or higher). Willingness to learn and continuously improve the German language skills.
∎ Very good coordination and organisational skills
∎ Sociable personality and strong communication skills
∎ High level of social and intercultural competence
∎ Ability to plan and work independently and proactively
∎ Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
∎ Willingness to travel and attend professional trainings in South Asia and Germany
∎ Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Internet) and willingness to familiarise oneself with the GI's internal software.

Salary:
∎ According to experience and salary scheme of the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh.
