Responsibilities & Context:
Responding to emergency calls, including 911 calls, and arriving at the scene promptly.
Quickly evaluating the patient`s condition and determining the appropriate course of action.
Performing initial patient assessments and preliminary diagnoses.
Administering first aid and life support, such as CPR and defibrillation.
Providing wound care, bandaging injuries, and managing other medical emergencies.
Administering medications, including pain relief, intravenous infusions, and other necessary treatments.
Operating specialized equipment like ventilators and defibrillators.
Stabilizing patients with head, neck, or back injuries.
Assisting in childbirth emergencies.
