Experience:
Youth Engagement & Advocacy: Extensive experience in youth engagement and advocacy, particularly within youth-led or grassroots organizations. Strong understanding of youth empowerment and community development principles.
Strategic Planning & Program Implementation: Proven experience in designing, planning, and executing programs and initiatives that effectively engage youth and strengthen communities.
Advocacy Campaigns: Skilled in developing and implementing advocacy campaigns using both online and offline channels, achieving measurable impact.
Fund Allocation & Resource Mobilization: Demonstrated success in managing budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and mobilizing funds to support program objectives.
Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences via multiple platforms.
Youth Engagement & Leadership: Adept at inspiring and motivating youth members and stakeholders to participate actively in initiatives and programs.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, including budgeting, monitoring, prioritization, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify challenges, analyze issues, and implement effective solutions for project success.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Familiarity with M&E principles to assess program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Digital Media & Communication Tools: Knowledgeable in utilizing digital platforms and communication tools to enhance outreach and engagement.

Project Overview:
The "Eco-Leaders: Youth Empowerment Initiative on Environment, Climate and Renewable Energy for Bangladesh" is a transformative program aimed at empowering young individuals aged 18 to 35 to become effective advocates and leaders in environmental conservation, climate action, and renewable energy adoption. This initiative, running from August 2024 to June 2027, seeks to address pressing environmental challenges and build climate resilience in Bangladesh through comprehensive training, youth-led projects, and networking with key stakeholders.
Position Overview:
The Youth Engagement and Advocacy Officer will play a crucial role in mobilising and empowering young people to actively participate in environmental and climate advocacy. This position involves developing and implementing youth engagement strategies, organizing training and advocacy campaigns, and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth empowerment, environmental issues, and strong communication skills.
Reporting Structure: The incumbent will report to the Project Coordinator.
