Education:

Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling & Academic Support
Provide academic counselling to students regarding course planning, program requirements, and academic progression.
Guide students on university rules, academic standards, probation policies, and graduation requirements.
Identify at-risk students and conduct counselling sessions to address academic or personal challenges affecting performance.
Assist students experiencing academic difficulties by offering actionable strategies for improvement.
Student Success & Retention Initiatives
Support the development and implementation of retention strategies for students facing academic challenges.
Collaborate with departments to design initiatives that enhance student engagement, persistence, and overall academic success.
Monitor key indicators such as dropout patterns, absenteeism, and academic probation trends, and propose interventions.
Participate in orientation, transition programs, and success workshops for new and continuing students.
Data Tracking & Documentation
Maintain accurate and updated records of counselling sessions, advising notes, progress reports, and intervention outcomes.
Prepare detailed reports on student performance, retention analytics, and follow-up documentation for relevant committees.
Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of student information in line with institutional policies.
Monitoring & Follow-Up
Track the academic progress of students under monitoring, probation, or retention review.
Conduct follow-up meetings with students to review progress and ensure compliance with academic improvement plans.
Coordinate with counsellors, departments, and faculty members to resolve outstanding academic issues.
Coordination & Communication
Act as a liaison between students, academic counsellors, faculty, departments, and administrative units.
Communicate advising schedules, academic deadlines, probation notices, and relevant announcements to students.
Assist in organizing workshops, counselling events, academic success seminars, and orientation activities.
Administrative & Operational Support
Manage scheduling for counselling sessions, student appointments, and academic support programs.
Draft official communication including notices, letters, reports, and follow-up summaries for the Office of Student Success.
Assist in the preparation of academic planning materials, advising guides, and student success resources.
Ensure timely processing of student requests, petitions, referrals, and feedback.
Student Well-being & Guidance Support
Direct students to appropriate campus support services such as mental health counselling, medical unit, scholarship/financial aid, or career services.
Promote awareness of academic support resources, university policies, and retention-related services.
Support initiatives that contribute to a positive, inclusive, and student-friendly academic environment
